Horizons Law Group, LLC was founded in 2000 as Legal Horizons, LLC by attorney Michelle Fitzgerald, a former Milwaukee high school teacher. After several years in practice, Michelle recognized the need for professional legal services that provided flexible service and fee options, and in 2006 the name was changed to Horizons Law Group, LLC to implement Michelle’s vision and fresh approach empowering clients.

Attorney Michelle B. Fitzgerald was listed as a Leading Lawyer for divorce lawyers in the Milwaukee area in the July 2015 issue of M Magazine. The article can be found on their website under Archives as well as a printed version in our office. Congratulations Michelle!


Michelle B. Fitzgerald, Owner & Attorney, won the 2011 Women in the Law award from the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Michelle was quoted extensively in the April 2006 edition of Today’s Wisconsin Women Magazine on issues adult children face in caring for their aging parents as well as a past article in the Wisconsin Law Journal on unbundled (al-a-carte) legal services.


Michelle wrote an article on unbundled legal services in the December 22, 2004 issue of the Wisconsin Law Journal.


Legal Horizons, LLC (former name) was one of 15 finalists in the Wisconsin Law Journal / Daily Reporter’s 1st Annual Innovator of the Year Awards in 2002.


Wisconsin Law Journal ran an article in 2001 on the unique services offered at Legal Horizons, LLC law firm (attorney services and legal forms and resources).


We were mentioned in Milwaukee Magazine’s 2001 article on the Best Divorce Lawyers in Milwaukee, August/September 2001. We also had an ad placed at the end of that article. A copy is available in our store and archived at Milwaukee Magazine.
